Lately, I’ve been thinking about all of the endless opportunities I’ve had presented to me that either I’ve been too afraid to take or too lazy to follow through with. Sometimes I find myself feeling stuck, asking myself over and over, Why? Why didn’t I just take that call? Why didn’t I just submit that application? Why didn’t I just answer that message? Why didn’t I grasp that opportunity and run with it?
To be honest, most of the time, it’s laziness getting in the way. Or not believing in myself enough. Feeling like I’m not worth it. It’s negative thoughts. I have to remind myself I am worthy, I am good enough, I will do this! Affirmations have been a big part of my growth journey and maybe these could inspire you too.
If you want it bad enough, you’ll go get it.
I tell myself this more times a day than almost anything else; I am the only one in my way. Yes, you can stop and think about the endless amounts of issues that can stop you. The endless amounts of people saying you can’t, or the hardships that might be put in front of you. But regardless of all of that, if you want it bad enough, you’ll find a way to get it.
You’ll start saving your money a penny at a time, a dollar at a time. You’ll start cutting out sugar a day at a time, a morning at a time, a coffee at a time. You’ll start exercising for 5 minutes a day. You’ll begin with some slow stretching. You’ll start meditating by sitting with yourself on your living room chair and taking some deep breaths.
There’s always going to be something to stop you. But you have to want it bad enough to go get it. Whatever it is, it is yours for the taking. Don’t count the cost. Don’t let the price of this dream or goal overwhelm you to begin with. Start small.
One thing I’ve found that has helped me significantly is physically writing out my affirmations. Not only saying them out loud but writing them down with paper and a pen. I’m still working on saying them to myself in the mirror. I feel awkward and so weird when I say them to myself in the mirror. And yes, I know this says a lot about who I am and where I am in my current life journey. But it’s one small step at a time, right?
Here are my favorite affirmations currently. I write these down often. I stop and think about each one. Asking myself, “Do I want it bad enough to go get it?”
I can live my dream!
I can find my purpose in life and LIVE my purpose!
I deserve more for myself!
I deserve more from life!
As long as there is breath in my body, there’s a chance for me!
As long as I’m alive, I have the opportunity to change!
Greatness is in you! Activate It!
Sending you all, Sunshine!
Love, Mary
